Who I Am

Welcome to Abeautifulthud. I’m glad you decided to stop by.

So, why am I here, and what am I doing with this tiny part of the internet? Why should you read my blog?

To begin with, I am IT professional, non-professional wannabe writer, non-professional musician, bowler, sometimes photographer, media intake junkie (books, movies, news, magazines, etc), husband, father, son, step-son, owner of a 4 year old standard Schnauzer, and friend.

I love the beach and am a strong believe in fate (see my beliefs page).

I have seen Bruce Springsteen over 60 times and am not ready to end that ride yet. He is my favorite artist and the ranking of those that come after him starts with The Beatles and gets very confusing after that.

This blog will be about what I see, feel and do in my life that I want to share with you. My thoughts, cool technology, my writing, pictures, musicians, songs, ideas, etc. Here you find anything that comes onto my radar screen that I want to throw out there and comment about.

You may find it interesting, you may find it boring, but you will find it here. I hope you like it. If you don’t, let me know and we can talk/write/chat about it. I promise you I will not be insulted or hurt, and I hope you will come back again and again. Hopefully you will learn something and maybe find a new perspective on something.

So that’s what this is about. I hope you like it.

Some additional things:

I have been in the IT business since 1989, and current work at United Healthcare. For my professional profile, please visit my Linkedin page at:

This is my second blog, which I hope to be more successful than my first, which lived on and off from 2006 to 2010. You can visit it here:

If you want to email me directly, feel free to do so at mscheynj@yahoo.com

Live long and prosper, to infinity and beyond, may the force be with you, and never give up and never surrender.

And remember, “at the end of every hard earned day, people find some reason to believe”.
